Jack brings over 30 years of deep technical expertise to the ITEN WIRED team, primarily centered on GIS data and distribution technology for major utilities. Having spent the bulk of his career in the Distribution Control Center for Gulf Power and Southern Company, Jack specialized in managing the complex network management systems that keep the lights on. His innovative approach to utility challenges led to the co-authoring of two patents focused on automating data integrity, specifically using meter voltage readings to verify transformer connectivity and phase mapping.

A dual graduate of the University of Georgia (MBA in Marketing and MIS) and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (B.S. in Biology and Environmental Sciences), Jack thrives in the space where business logic meets technical precision. He is a firm believer in “translating” complex system behaviors into operational impacts that people can actually use.

When he isn’t helping attendees navigate the ITEN WIRED floor or driving engagement through the Whova app, Jack manages several hundred acres of longleaf pine timberland in South Georgia. His work there spans the production of pine straw, pulpwood, and saw timber, further proving his knack for managing diverse, large-scale systems, whether he’s balancing electrical loads or forest land.
