Dr. Dave Dawson – University of West Florida Innovation Institute As a research scientist at UWF’s Innovation Institute Dr. Dawson develops working methods for integrating emerging technologies into collaborative instructional design and development processes for online professional development, performance support, and immersive learning projects. He serves as special consultant for the Institute on human performance and systems design for government and industry clients. Dr. Dawson was a key developer of the curriculum and provided oversight for the instructional team for the first three years of operation of the fully immersive residential STEM program of the National Flight Academy at Naval Air Station Pensacola. He coordinated Pensacola’s first Coder Dojo chapter and participated in staging the first two annual Cyberthon cybersecurity competitions in Pensacola.
