High Touch for High Tech

High touch for high tech. John Naisbitt first espoused this phrase. His ground-breaking books, High Tech High Touch and Megatrends, promoted how people long for personal human contact. The missing link. A mantra and reminder that while we live in high tech we need to remember the “high touch”.

Before Buffet, there was the Beachboys. With the 1963 Brian Wilson-Chuck Berry hit, “Surfin’ USA”, American employees caught their first glimpse and feel of riding the waves. “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf,” advanced mindfulness-based stress reduction founder and pioneer Jon Kabat-Zinn in the 1970’s. Techies get this!

There are companies truly thriving with employee engagement and team focus today by using the paths of gratitude, kindness, truth, and respect within their innovative wellbeing programs and culture. These companies are embracing Gallup’s Five Essential Elements of Career, Social, Financial, Physical, and Community to create wellbeing programs that promote gratitude and emotional intelligence that builds trust. These are the ones riding the waves!

Tech leaders will learn how to become team-thriving superheroes by using Gallup’s’ Five Essential Elements to create a wellbeing program beyond a ROI of reduced medical costs to a VOI that includes an enhanced company culture of emotional intelligence and happier employees—benefits far more valued than a fatter paycheck. “High touch” wellbeing promotes gratitude, creativity, inspiration, kindness, trust, respect, and innovation. It enhances recruitment and increases productivity. Not to mention reducing the wipeouts of attrition and absenteeism.

Objectives:

In this session Tech leaders will learn the increased importance that gratitude and wellbeing deliver as a business strategy that:

  • Creates a culture that builds trust
  • Enhances employee innovation and intrapreneur teams
  • Increases employee engagement, retention, and recruiting
  • Increases productivity and customer satisfaction
